With Spain having a very young side, the same squad will be used, and Torres hopefully maybe 100% fit.

Easy money at odds of 5, when Spain was 6.6, in the World Cup.

A very young side? What Spanish team have you been watching? Only 4 players from last nights team were under 25 years old? If i could be bothered to work out the average age i would, but i'd hazard a guess its 27. I'd hardly call that a young side?

25.9 was the average age

I'm pretty good at mental arithmetic, but to disprove your figure i went to the bother of getting a calculator. Average age of the starting eleven last night was 26.8, much like my trusty brain told me straight away. I knew i didn't need a calculator afterall....

... and yes i am talking about the team last night as my initial post suggests, not the entire squad.

Surely you have to take the entire squad into account though?

The likes of Fabregas, Navos & Pedro could improve the side 2 years down the line...

And there are young spanish players who didn't make the squad who would be starting for most other teams

On the other hand, look at the key players of the current team. Villa, Puyol, Xavi, Alonso, Capdevilla (and dare i mention Torres in the same breath)... all getting on a bit, and therefore can't really be classed as "young squad" members. Take them out of the equation, and who knows what you end up with?

In a similar vein, i remember watching the U20 World Cup and the quality of the likes of Brazil's side impressed me so much that i can't wit until i see some of those guys make the senior team. They have a guy caled Walter who i will stick my neck out and say will be the new Ronaldo, Ronaldhinho, or whoever you choose to compare him against with regards to (relatively recent) top Brazilian forwards.

I just really can't see how the existing Spanish side can be considered as "Free money" to win Euro 2012, although i'm certainly not suggesting they will be far away.Cool
