I think his decision making has been spot on, specially when it comes to either showing a red or a yellow card. A red card for any of those fouls wouldve runied the game and made it even more dire than it has been

How in a game where the players spend 90mins trying to cheat ..dive and conn the ref can anyone be expected to sort the real fouls from the bolllox I think this stupid game and all who support it get exactly what they deserve and blaming the ref shows just how fukkkin ignorant most who hero worship these vile cheating w@nkers are. Blame the ref  get a fukkin grip man and blame the pathetic scum who are cheating.Play it clean and properly and the ref might have half a chance Brainless stupid post... I hate watching games when he's the ref. Games never flow and he gets a number of decisions wrong. IMO he's overrated and not the best we have.

He was useless tonght - Van Bommel and De Jong had to go first half and if he was told to be lenient by the powers above then they are the idiots. If two players deserve to be sent off in the first half of a World cup final then its 11 against 9

Had a poor game in my opinion. As Colina rightly said, the best refs are simply the ones who make least mistakes.
Horribly difficult game but he got way too much wrong. |

He was shocking all night..... how he hasn't sent of the De Jong is a mystery! After that he made up for it by continually allowing Spain advantage, but never the Dutch and then somehow failed to give Elia a free kick prior to the goal! |

I really dont think Webb did badly. Ok De Jong should have been sent off but no one called it in real time and the replays make it look horrendous. As for Eila that was a 50/50 decision at best with him basically looking for a penalty! thought he did pretty well at keeping the game flowing without being overly card happy. Was a nightmare of a game to referee and there were a whole world of big decisions to be made which he almost always got right!
at the end of the day its all to easy to slag off the ref when we really should be giving them more respect for doing a bloody difficult job that you get next to no thanks for even when it does go smoothly. |

of course de jong could well have got a red card, and should have done but it definitely wasn't a free kick to holland before spain went up the other end and scored, so that was an excellent decision by my dad |
