Surely only half of the bet will be Dead Heat though, as its only the goalscorer part thats affected?

i really dont get this as Villa- Spain and all other 4 people who were on 5 could all be backed at 4-1 right to final whistle. If winnings are split then you could have had a free 4-1 winner right till end of game

One bookies is paying out without a dead heat i hope others follow, at the moment the bookie i have had it with are paying out on a dead heat of 4 for the double and are settling the dead heat on what price villa was for top goalscorer at the time you placed your bet, hardly fair when one bookie paying out with no dead heat

What bookie is that makarena84? I bet with Bet.3.6.5. At the rate they cut Spain/Villa in the week before the tournament, i cant see them being so generous in paying out full price.

It is only the goalscorer that is dead heat and they will settle at the odds of villa for top goalscorer at the time you placed your bet, i cant say which bookie but hopefully racing post talk about it and other bookies follow suit

I can't see Bet3.6.5. paying out full price, they went from 25's to 22's. 20's, 18's, and were 16's on the day the tourney started. Got to be weight of money

i had 30 quid at 16s got back 318.75, pleased as i thought it would be less but dont undertsnad the number...

I have Villa / Spain at 18's . The total bet will be 1/4 stake, not just the topscporer part, as its not a double, but a special. asked Powers about it yesterday. Would love to know what bookies are paying out full

Maybe they only reduced the Villa part of the bet and didn't reduce the Spain portion?

apparently SJ's said yesterday if it was sneijder and villa dead heating, you would get Half on at full odds (Spain win) and then the other half of your stake gets sliced and diced depending on how many dead heat.

but...I don't know what way it works with bookies in Britain, but in Ireland, you could not do a double.i.e Villa at 10/1 and Spain at 4/1. Only gave "specials". In my case it was 18/1. Powers confirmed to me yesterday it would be 1/4 the 18/1. I have done it with Boyles, and I presume its the same
