Is this a great price or what............. Spain just not firing, will get hit on the break like England and Argentina....... Can't believe Spain are favourites to win this on current form.

True, current form absolutely shocking. They hardly ever seem to win.[;)]

They were able to play on the break against England and Argentina as they scored first (and very early on Saturday), drawing their opponents on. I suspect that Spain will be harder to score first against as they seem pretty solid and well organised at the back, which neither of their previous opponents could be accused of, plus they keep the ball really well. Germany will also miss Tommy Muller, who has been instrumental in most of their quick breaking goals. It will be interesting to see how Germany respond to possibly going behind, the way that they give up chances means that sooner or later this is likely, the only other time it's happened in this tourny they were unable to get back into it, admittedly with 10 men. It will be similarly interesting to see how Spain shape up when faced with opponents who play back at them, I'm of the view that they will find it easier against the more positive tactics that this exciting Germany side are sure to employ. All in, I think it will be a better game than most WC semis and I take Spain to sneak it by a goal.

Depends whether the Spanish coach has the bottle to drop Torres, imo - with him in the side (on current form) they are carrying a passanger into the biggest match in their history...

I think people are looking at the start of the tourny with Spain at 5s and Germany 12s. They are not adjusting to the reality of recent form but are clinging to a preconceived idea of relative superiority. The fact is Germany walloped Argentina and Spain struggled against Paraguay......lets not get much more scientific than that.

spain will certainly not gift germany the lead with a sunday league style goal like their last 2 goals. spain score first then germany will never see the ball.

Portugal were awful. Paraguay were awful. Even assuming that England were terrible and Argentina had no defence, Germany are in better form than Spain and should be favourites for the game.
