Hmmm, not winning the easiest group ever, would have potentially had a semi vs holland!

Not convinced we'd have beaten Ghana.

Having been humiliated by Germany, we still peddle the myth that we could have reached the semi-finals if only the USA didn't score in injury time.   It's nonsense - England were knocked out because they weren't good enough.  The team that finished first in England's group lost to the team that came 2nd in Germany's group - so why the assumption we could have beaten Ghana (let alone Uruguay)?

would imagine they couldn't care less. slight inconvenience that they had to stay an extra 3 or 4 days cos they weren't inept to get knocked out in the group.

ok, better analogy. The England fans are gutted today after Holland beat Brazil. The reason being that we felt that England had a squad capable of beating everyone outside the top 4 ranked teams in the world. Now one of them has gone, it could have given England a great chance of a final appearance.

Unfortunately, as Mr Muller says, there are too many chiefs and not enough indians in the England football team! Spot on Mr Muller
