To go in again. Had some 44s earlier, but greened up after Korea game.
Wish I hadn't - 20s looks crackin' value

Ghana are under a lot of pressure, have suspensions and aren't good at getting shots on target.

Uruguay look great with the 3 exciting attackers, Lugano is a rock in defence and the keeper looks very solid (1 goal so far).

Granted, there's Holland or Brazil in the next round.
I'm hoping Brazil, because I think they could shock them.
The Netherlands, I'm not so sure, with the way they play.

Anyone else cheering on the Charrua? - Come on Uruguay!

I'm hoping they go far, mainly due to having a fair wack on Saurez top4 goalscorers, however I've got this horrible feeling that we could see a repeat of the 2002 S. Korea situation in regards in shocking decisions from officials to help Ghana progress.

backed em on the first day at 100's as fancied there draw. got my biggest green on them an win half as much on brazil, spain, argies an germany. not worried about potential loss on paraguay or ghana so now wondering whether to leave alone or lay germans an get dutch onside.

The Portuguese ref used to be wayward, but has improved a lot in recent seasons.
Although there does seem to be an awful lot of last team in Africa hype

Let's hope we have some luck, Butterfly Collector

Good stuff
If Uruguay do meet Holland, I'll lay some off,
but I genuinely think they could frustrate and shock Brazil,
so I'll let it run with that scenario

Very, very fortunate, but they are now virtually the same price to win,
as they were before the Ghana match
By:

When: 02 Jul 10 22:39
they moved around a lot between the 2 matches , anywhere between 14 and 21

Price now unfathomably large, as Poppy says almost same price as pre-Ghana match!
Admittedly no Suarez will be a blow but still somewhat baffling Confused

How is you book now Rock?

They were 19s-20s this morning
15.5 after Brazil were taken out of the equation
Matched at 13.5 in the hour before kick-off

You'd probably get matched at 14s tonight!

I expect it is because they were generally expected to win fairly decisively but were actually rather fortunate, and no Suarez.

I think when people realise they are 13s and only four teams left in it the price will hit around 10.

The Netherlands are very low at 3.3 (2.3/1)

I've got £10 on Uraguay at 90 (pre-tourney), I put £50 on them at 13 before last night's game and at half-time put £40 on them at 26. I stand to win £2460. I fancy Germany to qualify. I am wanting to buy my £100 stake back, I can currently lay at 13.5. I take it if Germany qualify though then because a favourite is out Uraguay's price would shorten? But if Argentina qualify then it might lengthen?

I'd wait till the day they play, as the hype builds up
Uruguay came in 7pts yesterday before kicking a ball

Original WC Centre back pairing is crucial though

See how Argentina and Germany (to win) have both shortened all day today

Managed to Lay@12 on Saturday - presumably while Spain were in difficulties - 14.5-15 now seems crazy though as the other semi finalists seem no stronger than they were expected to be prior to the quarters kicking off.

nobody expected anyone to be as strong as germany look

They only look strong when Mug Teams are chasing the game against them.

Hats off to whoever's got them at 1,000-1. Presumably this was just before the Ghana penalty?

My mistake - looks like they spiked to 400/1 during the Ghana game. They touched 1,000-1 earlier than this.
By:
SamH_123
When: 05 Jul 10 15:12
no I think it only went to 400 before the penalty
not sure why they've been matched at 1000...

Isn't this market a couple of years old.
Maybe when they were struggling in S.America group?

The 33s at HT against Ghana have made this a nice trade now
A Uruguay first goal will spark some frantic keyboard work

Unfortunately that's all wiped out with a big lay at 15s,
I left up accidently, that was taken straight as the equaliser went in
