World Cup Winner Book - thoughts?

Semis Dutch vs Uruguay and Germany vs Spain is my fancy at the odds. Your book will look nasty if that is the case.

i like spain but i would stick with what you have. You can't back them all and have to run some risk to get a good collect. You have 2 out of the 3 top teams running for a fair bit. just let it play out and hope spain get beaten. You could lay them in the final if u wanted to as they will most prob meet brazil or argentina, just sit on it for a few days.

Im leaning towards sitting on it but my major fee is Spain. Although i stand by my decision at the beginning of the tournament that they wont win it.

Argentina is tough against germany but hopefully they will win through.

What im trying to get my head round is whether i can do any match bets around germany and/or spain to soften the blow if things go against me.

Was thinking maybe doing doubles of Uruguay, Spain and Germany. Haven't checked the odds yet though.

1) How big a hit to you is -1300??
2) What price have you backed Argies at?

Not knowing the answer to these ?s I would suggest laying some argies and backing Spain even at this late stage.

They have one foot in SF which is factored into price but the winner of Arg/germ QF may be mortally wounded so to speak.

This would let you green up if you have a Braz-Spain final, and you already have Arg/Braz and Arg/Holl covered.

Like me you will be looking for the Argies to beat Germany.[:(]

I have a very similar book, but am a grand up on Spain as well. I don't want Holland or Germany, but the top three are all good winners. I'm going to hold my nerve and wait until after quarter finals. No point in wasting money covering the two teams mentioned at coupled odds of around 4/1 just for the sake of it...

I have big green on the dutch and argies at this stage and am thinking i'll green up the brazilians and let the rest go.

Winner of Brazil v Netherlands should make the final and I want to ensure I have at least one runner to work with come the final.

So basically like most in here i'm hoping the Argies get past the Germans
