Germany v England,Lampard one goal(not given) and a free kick smashing against the crossbar with the goalie seeing it too late, give the guy some space and stop the meaningless comparison with Gerrard. Two of the best at the moment for us ,up to the coach to fit them in suitably and bring out the best in them.Would you be inspired by Capello?

It needs a coach with the balls to drop one of either Lampard and Gerrard and has done for about the last 6 years. This is a no-brainer for me - Lampard should have been benched a long time ago. Regardless of his 'goal' yesterday he has consistently failed to boss the centre mid, and he has played countless games in which he has been anonymous. He's also two years older, and slower.

Drop both of them. England need a fresh start. Try building a new spine of the team with young guns like Wilshere, Adam Johnson Rodwell etc. or whoever is young and talented. We can still qualify for Euros with a young team, it can be done!
Never want to see that mug Terry in an England shirt again.

Don't think the English media or fans would allow the time and amount of experimentation required to get a young team in place and competive. The short term results would likely be bad and could you write off Euro qualification? - doubt it myself. Too much of a 'blame' culture and short term thinking. Germany had the core of the successful under 21 squad to build with, only Milner has emerged out of the England 21 final losing squad I think.
I'd like to see it but it just won't happen
