the saddest part of yesterdays match was the finger tip save by Neur from Gerrard late in the game. I had 50 on the the sophisticated scouser being top scorer for england at 9's.

Actually it could depend on who your bet is struck with

Betfair deem it a dead heat but FIFA themselves then use No of assists to break the tie and then the player who has played the fewest minutes.

ie - if the WC ended tonight then Higuain would win the Golden Boot

http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/awards/goldenboot/index.html

So if your bet is with a bookie who is using FIFA as the ultimate decider, then assists could come into it

Under impression most high st chains call market Top Goalscorer.

Any coupon you choose to look at invariably refers to DH rules will apply.

At moment for example DH Higuain/Vittek so you get paid half stake at full odds.

If 4 tie as top scorer then quarter win stake at full win.

Watch out for idiot counter staff who will try to tell you that your ew money is also fractioned in event of dead heat.

Recall nearly being involved in fisticuffs in a Billy mountain shop after advocating on an idiot punter's behalf after they tried to pay him 1/2 his place money when T Bjorn tied for 2nd in British Open some years ago.

Vittek great value at 120 for this.

If no one get's over four goals, then you get the dead heat. Only one other player (Higuain) on four atm....

i thought so too but there's fabiano/Villa on 3 (Muller as well??)
and a clutch of other Germans on 2

Looks good but doesnt bear much examination IMO

Thought Fabiano couldve filled his boots tonight......Sad

Worth a tenner imo

If Argentina go out, then Higuain is gone and then you only have to hope someone on three doesn't score another two...

Too many top players on 3 and 2 for 4 goals to end up sharing it imo even if Argentina lose to germany so Higuain only gets that game to score again. Bear in mind that if Germany beat Argentina it's quite likely that at least one of Klose, Muller and Podolski will have scored. Germany are then guaranteed 2 more games so one of those will end probably end up on 5 or more. Add to that Villa is odds on to get 4 more games whilst Suarez and fabiano are odds on to get 3 more games. I think 6  will be required to win it, 5  is more or less a certainty.

Just a question.

I laid Villa at 1.74ish, backer's stake at $70 leaving me with a liability of around $50.

If the top goalscorer stays as it is and Villa and Sneijder finish as joint top, what will my return be?

You would win around $10 if my maths is correct.

i think half the stake $35.Unlikely to stay as it is though.gl

thanks mate, and how much would the backer receive?
By:

When: 06 Jul 10 21:55
so liability of 25 I meant.

so my return would be half my liability and half the backer's stake?

35 + 25 = 60.

Which means my profit would be $10?
