The manager can only work with the players at his disposal. The players are not good enough. Fair play to alan hansen yesterday. For once a bit of honesty from a bbc pundit. Said no matter what system they played they would have been mullered yesterday. England's problem is they can't keep the ball. Watch most england games the ball will come out from the back (sometimes just launched forward) defenders will look for the midfielders who are not there most of the time. Ball will be played bewteen defenders and then go long. Sometimes gerrard will get the ball and try a hollywood pass. If you watch the best teams in the world they keep the ball. It all looks simple but they make it look simple. English players are not gifted enough to keep the ball for long periods of time. The players are playing in teams filled with superstars so they look so much better than they are. Only rooney for me is world class. The rest are average.
