They took their chances when it mattered which is what the game is about and even looked towards the end that they took their foots off the gas to save us from further humiliation.
At least they gave us the controversy and feelings of victimisation over the disallowed goal so that we can all cling on to the belief that we had been cheated out of the World Cup, and if that goal had have been rightly given, then we would have gone on to win (which we of course may have done with the momentum).
Personally though, I believe they actually saved us from a much huger and more humiliating hammering at the hand of Argentina.
Nobody can really say we deserve to still be there.
