The problem is, that there doesnt appear to be a stand out side this year.
Spain are still the best side for me. I cant understand why Brazil are favourites at all.
I think its not that hard to pick holes in the Argies, but then look at the rest and I think they stack up better. Will come down to very fine margins in the end.

Spain are the worst value just now. Very tough path to the final.

Germany are missing leadership.
Brazil are missing a finisher(fabiano is average)
Holland, I don't know, Slovakia will be a good test.
Argentina have no defence or balance.
Spain have no pace, no wingers.
A team with decent defence and pace will win, you don't need 60% possesion to win a game or magical flair.
Brazil are rightly favourites, they have the player of the tournament so far in Lucio, they have obvious creativity in the middle, they have energy, they have speed and delivery from the likes of maicon. Gilberto Silva is absolute rubbish though, he's not even good defensively. Still though Lucio is inspirational, the complete player. Robinho, kaka and elano will just have to make up for the lack of a real finisher.

anyone who thinks argys wont win are in dream land...they have the pedigree and players.....argys brazil final is looking good to me
Brazil are rightly favourites because they have gears and bottle for the big stage - a self belief that comes from their illustrious pedigree.
I think the Argies will find it tough v the Germans, but if they get thru that I'd fancy them to beat Spain and meet the samba boys in the final.

the same teams win the world cup...england and frogs on home soil,germany italy in europe....argys and brazil have won it on different continents, which is why there the serious players here,germany will pose no threat to the argys, and portugal have every chance of beating spain
