Am I missing something here. One of best defences in tourney against a distinctly average Paraguay. Clean Sheet massive odds for the Azzuri! Paraguay at 4s as well looks a solid lay. Opinions please

Back the 1-0 and the 0-0.  Can't see many goals in this one but Italy should shade it.

Forza Italia , Paraguay were dia against Ireland recently and they lack goal threats , neat and tiday on the ball but weak at the back . Italy wont have to be at their best.

3-1 squadra azzura

For those that think Italy are good in defence.

Their last two games in qualification were a 2-2 draw in Ireland (equalised in last minute) and a 3-2 victory over Cyprus at home (injury time winner).  Both of these opponents are hardly superpowers.

Paraguay had a good qualification, beating Argentina and Brazil - though admitedly they were stronger in the early part of the qualifying campaign.

Will the altitude be an advantage to Paraquay at all??

The betfair article here: http://betting.betfair.com/
basically suggests another uneventful match.
I'm going for 0-0 ht and italy not to score

Italy HT, Paraguay FT for me.

33-1 down at the bookies and I'm already counting the winnings.

Don't think they are playing at altitude.
Match is in Cape Town. I think thats at sea level.

Italy easy win, just the same as the Germans yday, no hype pre match and get 4 and look totally in control all game.Italy will want this win to look a threat in the first game

2-0 para for me italy not force of old

3/1 Paraguay thats got to be the worst odds of any team in the group matches so far.  Italy know how to succeed in this competition, four wins and two runners up medals are testament to that, I thought Paraguay would have been 7/1 or 8/1, even then I wouldn't have backed them.  In my opinion lay Paraguay all day for this contest.
