englands slow centre halves

this is a clear problem now king and ferdinand are unavailable.it seems we will have to play someone  with pace just in front of them. it seems sure  we cannot take anyone out of midfield so the only other way is to play just 1 up front.how about swp playing just in front of terry+1.he  was afterall  a full back tostart with. the obvious choice would be barry but you dont add any pace to the defence.im not say swp has to be the one but i cannot think ofanother defensive squad member with pace. any other ideas gents.,
