The dream outcome for England fans is a L16 dumping of the Germans, followed by a QF thrashing of Maradona's Argentina (with Crouch slam dunking into the net) before settling a few scores with Portugal in the semis. Top it all off with a thrilling victory against Brazil or Italy.

France have been shocking, but retain quality players. One bad result against uruguay they could down tools.
Should England face Germany, that could open the door for the US to progress to QFs or possibly Serbia/Ghana. |
