They play 3-5-2, bring on Abreu if needed. Lots of width and creativity in midfield, I'm looking forward to seeing their games.

Uruguay scored 28 in 18 qualifying games, but take out a 4-0 & 6-0 thumping of lesser teams and they do not appear that convincing having just squeezed the 5th qualifying spot. Probably a group with plenty of 0-0 & 1-1 draws imo. |

Already posted it further down, but with the draw between the other two teams, if you fancy Uruguay I think that 1.99 or whatever to qualify is probably the bet here.
If they can draw with France they'll have a cracking chance to go through as they're in prime position to rack up the goal difference by battering the Saffers, who were pretty cack. |

Really? SA looked very poor to me, bar a decent 15 minute spell. France will win this group. Urugay should pip Mexico for 2nd.

Having watched second half Uruguay look more comfortable when taking control of game and trying to score. Lugano is liability. South korea goal, if he attack ball and not player no goal would have been scored.
They impress me as suarez has stepped up today when forlan was not as much involved. Cavani I have never seen put in so much effort. A dangerous striker who can also score. If they take hold of play and attack they can reach semis. Sit back today like most of second half then I am not so sure |
