Crouch is 3rd choice striker for England and is 90. Llorente is 3rd choice striker for Spain and is 500  - do the math.

Not sure if its even worth a 2 quid mug punt

whats your point here? id have a bet with you that crouch sees more minutes on the pitch than llorente..

and crouch has as good a chance as anyone of starting for england.. its between him and heskey simple as that. there iwll be one big man to play with rooney capello advertises it every time we play. and after the last friendly rumour has it he was very impressed with crouch..

90s for crouch or 500 for llorente? its not even a choice imo.

Morrisey - LLorente is almost certain to start in the first match as Torres will not be fit - can you say with the same degree of confidence that Crouch will start in England's first game? Spain's group (Chile, Switzerland and Honduras) is arguably easier than England's so there must be a temptation to rest Torres until the group stages. It's all about opinions but 500 looks a good price to me.

mmg, you might be on to a winner there. fingers crossed llorente bags 8 or 9 in his only game then[:p]

Don't spain play 1 behind villa if torres is injured?

usually put fabregas behind him
Report miz May 11, 2010 11:49 AM BST
Well you're mad in the sense he's 125's at bwin. They also have cardozo at 200 which seems puntworthy to me.
Report fallenangel May 11, 2010 2:21 PM BST
problem is when some unknown sticks 4 past nigeria or paraguay

The only Team Crouch will score against is Algeria, the rest are too good for him, hence why he has never scored against a team ranked in the top 50 in the world, Flat track bully who cant get in behind the the defence and cant score with his head against a man marker!!!
Report Frodo May 12, 2010 7:55 PM BST
He scored against City and they are probably a lot better than the 50th team
Report morrissey May 12, 2010 11:28 PM BST
crouch isnt my fav player but id hazard a guess that he will play more than llorente...

i wouldnt back either of them with someone elses money to be honest...

just pointed out that crouch cuold start every game for england if he plays well with rooney in a friendly or the first game...

whereas rightly pointed out by someone else, llorente doesnt replace torres as spains second striker, which torres is0villa is number one, they will go with one striker and someone good behind villa id expect

I fancy Nilmar - the Brazilian striker. Generally 28-33/1 with most bookmakers but currently 80/1 with Bwin and if you search for free bets you can get a £30 match on opening account.

All in all 160/1 for a decent Brazilian striker (and they play N. Korea in one of the group games).
Report morrissey May 14, 2010 12:42 AM BST
thought someone on another thread said he wasnt going.. i admit i havent looked at the squads yet :)
Report broontoon May 14, 2010 2:44 PM BST
He's in all the betting markets at reasonably skinny prices so I expect him to go. Scored against England in the last friendly & has had a decent season with Villareal.
