It's just amusing they're almost the same price. Brazil have world class players in every position in many case about 4 competing for 1 spot. England have Rooney, the former Mr Cheryl, Gerrard a.nd Lampard - though slim evidence the last two can work well together. Wes Brown, Heskey, Green, Upson, Baines, Downing, Walcott wouldn't make the 15th XI for the Selecao. Even Capello can't turn water into Chateau Lafite

I agree. Brazil only team to ever win outside their own continent. If England win I will happily pay out.
Report Reading4Europe March 7, 2010 4:28 PM GMT
Isn't laying england just tying upp a stupid amount of money for a silly length of time?
Report Sunset Cristo March 7, 2010 4:38 PM GMT
No. Lay them just before the world cup starts.
Report Golden chest March 7, 2010 4:40 PM GMT
How long do you think the Eng price will go guys?
Report pablo gonzales March 9, 2010 9:07 AM GMT
quite amusing idly reading you gents opinions on brasils lack of quality defenders and berating their goalkeeper . brasil have never bothered defending and their goalkeepers have been rubbish or average at best . their philosophy has always been ...you score 3 and we will score 5 .and i dont need to remind you that this has worked in the past
Report Sunset Cristo March 9, 2010 10:05 AM GMT
pablo gonzales spot on.If u score more than the opposition u win.simples.

Julio Cesar arguably best keeper in the world. Lucio and Juan are a proven combination at CB with Luisao and Cris being solid back up. LB is not quite as strong as it was but any of Bastos, Marcelo or Maxwell will be an attacking threat if nothing else. At Rb, Rafinha won't even make the squad, but would be in the team for any other side.

Nilmar impresses me and Fabiano and Pato offer different options. And any combination of Kaka, Robinho and Ronnie (if selected) will create chances galore. Ramires will be a star imo.

Part one landed all too predictably. Brazil and Holland bankers to qualify, but Portugal and Japan might offer a bit of value.
Report lives with his mum July 1, 2010 9:44 PM BST
Semi line-up should be Spain Germany Brazil, but Uruguay Ghana looks a banker to run to et. Can't believe Argentina are favs against Germany. Argie defence is dire and just hasn't been tested in the games to date.
Report raspberrybottom July 1, 2010 10:01 PM BST
I think Argies will edge out Germany. I know the defence looks a bit dodgy but so does Germany's imo (especially Neuer in goal). Argies a bit superior up front.
Report Neely July 1, 2010 10:35 PM BST
Firstly good early call on Brazil and England, almost the same price???LaughLaughWish I had seen that back in April.

I keep hearing people say that Argentina are weak at the back, so much so that it is in danger of becoming aa bit of a stock phrase that is being knocked about a bit. I'm not saying that theyt are solid at the back but I think people are over emphasising this and the real point is that they seem pretty damn good going forward!!! I think the Germany game will go close, but I suspect Argentina will come through in the end.

I still see Brazil as the team to beat overall mind, let's hope so.£££
