wow, didnt know they still did them. i am pretty sure i filled the '82 one and if i remember right charlie nicholas was young player of the year. feel old now :0(

did one last time, age 28
good fun. as a kid i was poor yet somehow completed mexico 86. on a pack or two a week that was no mean feat. the thrill of buying 20/30 packs at a time (as an adult easily afforded), sorting them all out and such and such is good. swapping less so, unless you can find an equally sad/juvenile/fun-loving mate or two. even did a good deed with my hundreds of swaps, gave them to my neighbours son, who thought all his christmases had come at once. sadly, being now with child, so to speak, such mindless extravagance may be a thing of the past... :) |

trouble is alot of the players are always wrong. ie ones in the book not in the squad and ones in the squad not in the book. always felt they should have had more players for each team, better having players that arent in the squad than missing out a whole load that are.

me and my pals done it at euro 2000 when we were 18 im thinking a decade on i might go back great fun imo panini sticker books are better than sex
By:
ah but you see cunny the fact they are less than perfect makes it more enjoyable lol - any idea when they are out though?

which was the year they had one that was a big **-off binder? hard-back. like something an accountant would carry around. i'm thinking italia '90. can't believe you get anything like that these days.
By:
Hank, I'm doing the same for my boy! He'll be just over 6 months when the WC starts...
By:
kimochi....it was italia 90, i still have it. It was issues each fortnight....which included golden goals, superstar players etc. Never filled it though :(
By:
the golden goals part was superb. don't think i filled it either but wasn't far off. i'd like to think it's still in my parents' loft somewhere.

Congrats hank hill - being a dad is the best ever. Panini stickers were great - s**s with other kids before school - memories!!!!
By:

By:

prob worth a few quid in mint condition like mine |
By:
I've still got Mexico 1970 in the loft somewhere. Was that the first one or did they do them in 1966?
By:
I found my old Esso coins from 1970 the other day. Anyone else still got them? Mine are mounted in the official presentation plaque. A piece of blue cardboard with holes to press the coins into. Things were far simpler back then.
By:
90 and 94 for me.
ever completed them though :( |
By:
Anyone seen them in the shops yet?
By:
I've still got my Premiership 95 album somewhere, completed of course.
I remember those WC94 cards, bloody expensive! Couldn't afford them on my pocket money |
By:
They are called Adrenalyn World Cup 2010
Starter packs are currently in the shops £3:99 including binder, 3 packs and some bits I got them for my 6 y-o lad and they're only just out Note they are cards not stickers and they don't have set places in the binder/album like the old days Look up Adrenalyn World Cup 2010 on ebay to get an idea what they look like in auction pictures. Bizzarely the 1st card in the first pack that my boy opened last week was none other than Lionel Messi - so a good start. I'm secretly jealous inside, but hope he gets into it. |
By:
Basic packs are 50p in the shops for 6 cards
By:
^I think that's a different product.

Horangi,
I've just been to get it It says on it: a) 'Manufactured under licence by Panini' b) 'South Africa 2010 FIFA World Cup Official Licensed Product' So I'm guessing confidently that it's the real deal |
