2 of 3 will go out of lennon, theo, swp
By:
I agree but if Lennon's fit he's a certainty imo. I think Cappello will probably stick with Walcott as the other one but wouldn't be as certain.
By:
walcott should be first on the list
By:
Who is Brown?
Surely not Wes? |
By:
Yeah Wes Brown was a certainty until he got injured. Obviously now there are doubts but I did put barring injury. We are lacking in options at right back and Brown has the advantage of also being cover at centre back. It's clear from previous squad selections that Cappello wants him in.

Clockwork, so tell me which 12 players i've mentioned may not go and what odds you are offering on each of them not going.
By:
You said certanties, not who may go. Probables might have been a better word, but even then some of the selctions appeared flawed.

By:
Beckham only does walk on parts now ...... a bit like the famous director Alfred Hitchcock in his films. No footballing reason to bring him.
By:
David Beckham is still the best we've got as a right sided player. His delivery can be the difference in tight games. Id pick him ahead of walcott swp and lennon, to me its blindingly obvious.
By:
leave them all at home.they have no chance
By:
Clockwork, you still haven't mentioned any names. Who do you think is not going? Or which of my names do you believe is a flawed choice?

England 1966 v England 2010 ..... age
Gordon Banks 28 George Cohen 26 Ray Wilson 31 Nobby Stiles 24 Jack Charlton 31 Bobby Moore 25 Alan Ball 21 Jimmy Greaves 26 Bobby Charlton 28 Geoff Hurst 24 Martin Peters 22 Average 26.0 Robert Green 30 John Terry 29 Wes Brown 30 Stephen Warnock 28 Joleon Lescott 27 Steven Gerrard 30 Frank Lampard 32 Michael Carrick 28 Aaron Lennon 23 Wayne Rooney 24 Jermaine Defoe 27 Average 28.0 England 2010 is an old team. No good for a high altitude World Cup. England seem a bit short of players at the back this time: Terry looks slow. Brown too. Warnock; Baines; Shawcross; Jagielka; Cahill lack internationals. Cole; Ferdinand; King are crocks. The midfield looks a bit aged Gerrard 30; Lampard 32. Lennon and Agbonlahor are needed to freshen the team. |

Average age of Italy 2006 and Brazil 2002 would have been 28 or above imo.
