agree rooney should play up front on his own, there's no point playing 2 strikers if the other one isn't good enough and heskey, defoe, crouch etc clearly aren't. would also mean gerrard isn't stuck out on the left. unfortunately capello is a 4-4-2 man though.

If things go badly you can bring on Beckham and Crouch and get Becks to ping some deep crosses onto his head to lay off for Rooney
