2.None of the last 11 winners have retained the trophy:
Eliminate ITALY.

8 non European winners all won out of Europe

12 is too small a sample to draw conclusions from.

There have only been 17 of them,so using the 12 isn't a big enough sample defence would negate any statistical analysis of the WC. |

I think it was 18 World Cups not 17.
Brazil won in Sweden so that result / statistic best ignored. :) |
