LAY ENGLAND TO WIN WORLD CUP

Inclined to agree. I think they have as good a chance as they ever have going in to a WC esp as it will be a winter tourney.

However, they have their toughest game first against the USA - failure to win that and a positive result in the Algeria Slovenia game makes the 1-7 to qualify for round 2 a mandatory lay in my book.

I have my biggest bet ever on this im laying them every week up 2 the world cup the more the price drops the better if they went on and win it then pass the rope cause I will be in the sh!ts but im a 100% certain they wont win it and when it pays off all my profits will be to pay off the mortgage and beleive me it will pay at least 10 years off it

England's defence isn't built for fast-flowing attacks, like the ones that'd be delivered to us thanks to Spain et al.

very nice group for england, would s** it for germany's any day. only ever going to get shorter. best waiting til they qualify from the group and you could really be looking at silly prices.

The real WC wont get started till the quarters thats when england will struggle there 3rd favs in bookmakers in england and ireland but my uncle just came back from vegas and he says the americans have them as 6th favs it just shows how other countries reallt think of englands chances

if you have enough money to lay a bet at 7/1 to pay off 10 years of your mortgage, wouldn't it be a better bet to just pay off 10 years of your mortgage and then lay a slightly smaller stake? HTH

It would be worth a trip to Vegas then if they are 6th faves there because presumably that would mean a huge arb is available by laying it off on Betfair.

And because people could do that, that's how I know they are not 6th faves.

Also, if you can tie up funds 7x the value of 10 years worth of mortgage payments, why don't you just pay-off your mortgage?

I went over the top wen I said it will pay of 10 years mortgage but Im having a very big bet on them not winning it every week im laying them for a nice couple of quid and come the WC I will make a nice amount if they get knocked out as for going to vegas to get a nice arb if you have the money go for it as far as I can see there only 3rd favs in england and ireland everywhere else have them as between 4th & 6th favs

post a link to one non-uk or ireland bookmaker that has england as 6th favourites. i've just had a look at some american books and they all have england as 3rd faves. i personally don't think they should be btw, but i think you're just talking crap.

That's were I got my info from dont know why he wld have any reason to lie he's not that sort of bloke I was just passing on info that I was told there's nothing wrong with that

so far i have layed them to win £20

wait til england get through the group stages and then lay. unfortunately our players tend to be touchy feely in a dead ball situation..that gets them sent off. we don't have that killer instinct. we tend to play better when we're behind. our players haven't got the shrewdness to keep positions in vulnerable positions. a player like johnson will try some skill and lose the ball just outside our box which will cost us dearly..when england go out we'll be saying they were unlucky..but aren't thety always?
in short wait til they qualify from group dsstages then lay.
opposingly back italy and germany and then green book with them at group stage ..because they will both make it!i don't care how ** their teams are..the italians are shrewd and produce quality..the germans are resilient machines who have very good technique.
