I'd be interested in running one, but with work etc wouldn't promise fast updates. Also not sure I'll have an internet connection at home in June/July.
There are 64 matches altogether. Contenders would be required to either back or lay one selection per match, with a correct back receiving two points, a correct lay receiving one point, a wrong back receiving minus one point, and a wrong lay receiving minus two points. So there'd be a maximum win of 128 points and a maximum lose of -128 points. Someone do it please. :D |

I run a prediction competition locally which covers various aspects of the tournament from predicting the scores of the 48 group games, the winners of the groups, tournament winner, top scorer, the first thing the commentator says, number of times England hit the woodwork, total shirt numbers, number of red cards etc etc.
It's pretty much a non-profit making competition (apart from a bottle or two of Jack Daniels to keep me up at night marking the entries!) and a donation of 10% of the total entry fees to a local charity. Entry is a fiver and my fellow forumites on here would be more than welcome players this time around. I'm sure I can fathom out how to send the entry forms electronically nearer the time. What I'm unsure of is if I'm alright to post my email address on here for interested parties to contact me and register their interest. Any advice? |

If you are that concerned you could just open up a new ** account just for this competition. You wouldn't have to use it again afterwards.

I don't have any concerns as such, Tiyoun!, I just wasn't sure if it was against house rules or anything like that. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Oh right. Well however it works it sounds a good idea if you can pull it off.
