Which do you prefer on top of medal table most gold or most medals. Most gold for me. You could conceivably win nothing but top the table.

I'd say a points system where Gold=3, Silver=2, Bronze = 1. This would give a more accurate table imo.

Yeh, points system for sure.
To be honest, bets aside, I dont really care. Blind nationalism at these olympic events is pretty embarassing. The athletes compete for themselves, not their countrys. |

I guess each country is different. The US usually have most medals on top which i guess represents their culture of bigger is better (and also usually gives them the advantage with their large numbers), while here in Australia our medal table is sorted by most gold.
