Seth Wescott (born June 28, 1976 in Durham, North Carolina) is an American snowboarder who lives in Carrabassett Valley, Maine. Wescott has trained in the mountains near Cordova, Alaska at times, along with Sugarloaf, in Maine. He began snowboarding at age 7, but had also grown up skiing. In 1989, after competing in both sports for a few years, he stopped skiing to focus mainly on snowboarding. Wescott has competed in the X Games, winning a bronze in at Winter X Games XI, and he became involved in Snowboard Cross in 1997, going on to win a gold medal at its 2006 Winter Olympics debut in Turin, Italy. 3 silvers and 4 bronzes in Winter X Games. He won the silver at the most recent Winter X Games 14. Wescott co-owns The Rack, a popular restaurant and bar without a Web site near Sugarloaf that caters to skiers and snowboarders. His father was the Track and Cross Country coach at Colby College.
