backed the winner 1.6 in running and betfair have voided the bet after the race

The policy seems to be if its a middle of the night race but goes in-play at any point during the race then bets stand, if its a bigger meeting during the day then if the BSP isn't too far off from the last traded price then bets stand but if not then they'll void.
