i backed lullaby in running was on for great profit but looking at the photo a few times i thought it was beat so traded a bit out , but in theory if betfair managed the market properly i should not have given any back lol, try explaining this to livechat .

This has happened for years to be honest across all sports. And they almost always settle everything.

darlo the markets were left open for a minute after the race finished on one occassion i get that they let things go but come on

It's not that they let it go. They're just very slow at times. There was a football match a couple of weeks ago, left open for an hour after the match and it wasn't unmanaged. These US markets are often very shoddy at the finishing post.

What a CRAZY day of US horse racing! 8 tracks all running at the same time at one point and plenty of controversy.

Six highly contentious inquiry/objections against winners, of which three were DQ'd! I thought the DQ of the winner in R6 at Gulfstream was a bit tough, especially when compared against the FPTP keeping the races at Monmouth R9 and definitely R5 which looked far worse to me? Then the DQ at Penn was also pretty tough on the FPTP but then they often seem to be more fussy there. And then to top it all off in R7 at Saratoga the fav broke through the starting gate just before they opened, ran 2nd, and yet there was no inquiry and he was left in as a runner! I just can't see how that can have been justified.

In summary you just never know which way the stewards are going to lean.

Late suspends at the start & end of US races been happening for years.

Whether they void i/r bets when this happens is a lottery.

I remember barry orr the other week month refunding betfair players over a hoovering photo incident the other month making out betfair prides itself in integrity
when this sort of stuff of goes on with the usa late suspends race after race for long periods of time like you say it makes betfair total hypocrites and amateur just my opinion.

I made a complaint about mismanagement of races and was basically palmed off by the escalations dpt and livechat who are consistently sincerely not fit for purpose historically for me as they sadly they dont fight properly for the customers cause properly imho.
So I resorted to the only method where you gain the definitive answers from betfair the peter jackson email  I simply asked for the inplay log from betfairs end re start and finish length of races and if any inconsistencies occurred obviously faults have happened because betfairs timeform give out the time length of races. After investigation my cases were proven correct and I received this email

Dear

Thank you for waiting.

Our team have confirmed that there were also issues with the Monmouth 21:52 and as such we can credit a further £ in cash, for a total of £ in cash.

The Saratoga market was confirmed to have been suspended early.

Our team have confirmed that whilst there were issues on the USA markets, they are aware of this and have advised that this issues should not happen again as this was due to internal technical failures.

Apart from the £ in cash for the issues with the feeds, I would also like to offer you a further £ bonus on Exchange as a gesture of goodwill for the amount of time that you spent on our live chat to resolve your issues.

If you wish to accept this amount, please reply to this e-mail.

Kind regards,

swifty just the funds back and a bonus on the exchange , I  think is is sad that customers have to go the peter jackson email route though it takes time imo common sense should be applied we know what is right and wrong and with livechat who are powerless they just create a ticket that is basically a very long que that toss off a coin gets answered as for the escalations team they are far worse they always say no case to answer and come up with false info which is alot more frustrating the email they send it from is an inbox that is defunct so we cannot even interact over an issue.
with the peter jackson email address it goes to the right people it gets investigated the next day and correct questions are asked and answered quickly from departments that dont normally cooperate quickly which is great .

The peterjackson route has worked for me too recently and my case was dealt with to my satisfaction. I think Peter and those around him are oblivious/shielded from  a lot of the mess that goes on lower down the scale. If they really knew the extent of the mismanagement then heads would no doubt roll.

Once upon a time they regularly settled in the US on horses that were withdrawn at the start. Seen an occasional race in UK/Ireland where not all the runners were even in the market. Not sure integrity is a claim they can make 100%.
