US Racing really gets into gear as we move into April with a host of tracks coming online. It remains to be seen whether Betfair will cover all these tracks, especially on the busier days.

> Keeneland 15-date Spring event runs from Fri 02 Apr through to 23 Apr.
> Woodbine commences 2021 season from 17 Apr.
> NYRA moves from Aqueduct to Belmont from 22 Apr. Belmont racing dates are not yet available so I've pencilled in likely dates but marked as (TBC).
> Lone Star commences 2021 season from 22 Apr. It is possible Betfair won't cover this track so I have marked dates as (TBC).
> Mountaineer commences 2021 season from 25 Apr.
> Finger Lakes commences 2021 season from 26 Apr. Racing dates are not yet available so I've pencilled in likely dates but marked as (TBC).
> Evangeline Downs commences 2021 season from 28 Apr.
> Hastings Park commences 2021 season from 01 May. They are running daytime this year and it is possible Betfair won't cover this track so I have marked dates as (TBC).
> It seems Betfair are not covering Fonner Park this season so I've not included any racing dates.

Looks like I called Belmont dates spot on. Finger Lakes will be racing Mon/Tue/Weds but looks like their first week will be Mon & Tues only so no racing on Wed 28th Apr.

Betfair have not loaded Turf Paradise card for tomorrow (6th Apr). Probably due to 6 of the 12 races being run over QuarterHorse distances.

Makes little sense , they put up the 3 today, they made some commission and they'd put up a 6-race straight card, after all it's only button pressing, they're supposed to be a platform for punters.

I'm starting to think it's just pot luck who loads the markets up each day, there's Philadelphia instead of Parx. Trouble is it's hard to communicate with them.

Looks like from now US track races will be uploaded with their full track name in the title rather than the abbreviation. This follows the same change made to UK&Ire tracks last month. Greyhound tracks in the UK have just reverted to full names today too. Betfair have always used Philadelphia as the full fixture name for Parx, with Parx as the abbreviation. Philadelphia Park was the tracks name until 2010 when it rebranded as Parx.

Charles Town cancelled for the whole of next week (Wed 21th, Thu 22th, Fri 23th and Sat 24th) for track maintenance.

Mountaineer have cancelled card on Tues 27th Apr due to lack of entries. Apparently diesel costs in the US have risen to almost 60p per litre!

I remember last season they had multiple Covid restrictions for jockeys and horses crossing state lines which made things difficult. Perhaps this is still the case?

That's a surprise, thought being in the same state they'd be fairly near but 250 miles apart. They've got some funny old state boundaries over there, look at the map!

There may well be more into the Tuesday Mountaineer cancellation than meets the eye. I'm hearing risk of multi-trainer boycott for tomorrow's card, it sounds like they want more money per entrant to cover the increased diesel prices.

I like the track just wish they were day meetings out there but I'm guessing it's a racino so all about the slots?

They have one daytime meet every year for West Virginia Derby day. This year is planned for Sat 7th Aug. The date was cancelled last year due to Covid.
