Many of the races at Delta since the season began have been suspended very early, normally as soon as a horse looks a likely winner rather than as it crosses the line. It was only a matter of time before a leader was caught after suspension and today was the day.

R2 today was suspended around 7 seconds before the finish with the leader well in front at the top of the stretch - but he was caught on the line by a fast closer. Eventual winner was last traded at 2.5 at time of suspension with the runner up last traded at 1.15.

Hopefully lesson has been learnt now.

I have tried to contact them regarding this. It is a complete nonsense, in-running players play for the duration of the entire race in order to adjust their position. For the race to be suspended almost a furlong early is unacceptable.
jamee1 , I'm guessing you are suspecting Betfair is working off a significantly faster live video yet no-one is profiting from it, at least not yet.
If your suspicions are correct then it makes Delta Downs unplayable for me in-running.

No I don't think they have faster pictures as the races are turned in-play at the right time. I just think whoever is suspending the races is doing it based on when they think the race is done rather than when the leader crosses the line.

But race 2 in-running bets allowed to stand.
Imagine they suspended a football match with 5 minutes to go but allowed all bets to stand.
In fact they probably do!
Needs a rule change.

Delta judges called a dead-heat but then changed their minds and changed it to a win for the 4 before it went official. BF therefore have settled it correctly.

Another very early suspend, trigger happy operator(?)....unless ofcourse.... I'm of the view Betfair have a faster feed from Delta Downs. It makes in-running a no-no since you play hard and wrong early and can't get out. Add it to the list of unlevel, unplayable fields from Australia, France, South Africa and atleast half of UK, the list grows.
