Betfair reduction factors differ from conventional bookmakers rule 4 deductions in that the reduction applies to your total returns (i.e. including your stake)
Therefore 1.62 - 10% = 1.458 and then 1.458 - 18.3% = 1.19 Sad but true. |

or more accurately 1.62 -10.5% = 1.4499
1.4499 -18.3% = 1.1846 |

Just before the time of the sratches the available odds were something like 1,46 on the 4 horse. Right after the suspension and the scratchs of the 5 and 6 horses, this 1,46 dropped to 1,32 and remained to be available for some time, so I am not conviced that everithing went down fairly.
My odds of 1,62 should not have dropped 70% by cancelling two horses with duble digits odds! |

the 18% withdrawal shouldn't have been double digit but odd things can happen with movements in illiquid markets. The betfair system is fair to backers and layers, in theory. 3 horse race all horses 2-1, RF 33.33% leaves you with two even money shots.
