Seemingly going well, the short priced fav falls back - very, very slowly.
So slowly the commentator didn't call it for a while. (whilst seemingly pulling the horse who wants to go a hell of a lot faster)
Doesn't pull it up, just drops away. Then Reshawn falls off the horse (trotting and being pulled up) on the home turn - leaving the horse to run riderless.
Horse runs, seemingly without any hinderence or discomfort, round the other side of track.
If that isn't race f1x1ng, it's the worst piece of horsemanship I have seen for a very long time.

CATCH MY CABOOSE stalked the pace three and four wide but dropped back through the second turn, raced outside into the backstretch
and continued to fade. It was confirmed after an inquiry by the Stewards that the bit broke and the rider bailed in the vicinity of the eighth pole. |
