I've talked a lot about the inconsistency of the Stewards in US races. It really does seem to be pretty random whether a horse gets the dreaded DQ or not. Once that 'inquiry' sign goes up you've got about a 1 in 3 chance of getting binned.

Here is a wonderful example:

Delaware 8th July R6.
Stewards inquiry > No change

Delaware 16th July R4.
Stewards inquiry > Winner DQ'd

I layed Princess Palomar so I was surprised when the fptp was relegated to 2nd,imo opinion the winner did not interfere with the 2nd,the jockey on the 2nd clearly took evasive action by switching his mount inside the winner on the bend, the winner lost momentum and several lengths in the process, but rallied to get up near the line,so was clearly the best horse on the day.

I have noticed this a lot with the US stewards, they nearly always side with the favourites unless it is really blatant, that reversal cost me over £230.
