I feel our american markets may start to suffer with liquidity due to lockdown relaxations
but it may be important that we (as a group) try to keep the interest up.
lets keep a blog going during race nights if we can and dont be scared to share our views,preferably pre race.
i must admit I do enjoy Tampa each year but willing to get involved whatever is available opn the exchange.
I sign up to DRF and feel thats the best source for the past performance form,what does everyone else use?

I'm going to keep following the US racing as much as I can now the lockdown is being relaxed. Only started dabbling with it because I had nothing else. I began to really enjoy it and feel like I'm still 'learning'. I even bought some TimeformUS day passes and I can highly recommend them and their are very good value. I'll be back in Tampa Bay tomorrow night after Newcastle no doubt. Happy punting.
Love American racing. Proper racing with horses pushed from the off rather than the last 2f like in the UK. Split screen video, easy to learn colours, faster stall loading.
Turned to Us Racing a long time ago now and have no regrets.
As a betting medium it FAR outweighs uk racing.
Hopefully a lot of punters haven't been put off by the dross at Fonner...
A lot of tracks coming in the next few weeks - Belmont, Woodbine Monmouth and later in the year the likes of Saratoga - offer FANTASTIC racing, really worth sticking around for. Get a few grade ones every day at Saratoga..........
Tracks like Delaware and Finger Lakes are also my favs....
The information to be gained from US cards, combined with sectional timing everywhere, means finding winners is a lot easier imho.
Posted yday where stacks of value were to be found on the exchanges, and this can regularly be the case.
A lot of tracks have their own nuances, a lot can be info gained from shippers from different tracks, the standard at those tracks and with it value, one way or the other, but all this needs to be learned.

Early signs on traded volume wasn't too bad last night. There were no direct comparisons to be made but Tampa vs Tamps last Weds was down only 40% and Lone Star vs Fonner the Monday before was down only 17%. When you consider the 4 or 5 fold growth we saw since lockdown began plus the fact we had French and German Guineas days yesterday the drop is not as heavy as I expected.
I've been mainly playing US racing for 10 years now. Liquidity definitely still way above normal last night so hopefully a few more people are hooked.
I thought Fonner was great. Significant profit for me there
I hope they keep that and Lone Star,which are both new ( in the last 10 years anyway,I know before my time they had a lot more courses ).

I layed the favourite thinking there were 4 runners but alls well that ends well.
They don't seem to have a clue what's going on these days.
The thing is they actually suspended the market before the race was off and still did nothing.

Progress They've finally shown the 1 as a scratch. Hey! settled!
American racing is far more interesting than Uk racing. Here they go a dawdle for 3/4 and then they race. In the US the race starts the
moment the gates open. No hanging about. No horses tossing their head about because of the slow pace. Also US form is far more compre-
hensive with sectionals and positions clearly posted. Here they use such phrases as 'held up in touch' which is about as useful as
saying 'held up by the length of a piece of rope'!
For form I use Brisnet. Not much different from DRF as I don't pay much attention to Beyers or other ratings.
US racing is much easier to follow, with coloured saddle cloths and horses in post positions that match their number.
Stalls loading is far better mainly because the stalls are wider than here enabling handlers to climb in with the runners
and their trainers gate train newcomers which many of ours apparently don't bother with resulting in endless delays and late w/d's.
That being said, without the exchange playing into the US tote win/place pools would be a losing proposition. However it's nice to
have the exotic pools available through their tote.
Royal Ascot is great, Glorious Goodwood too. In Australia they have 'the race that stops a nation' (a glorified handicap) and there
are many other great days' racing to be had around the World. Arc day ranks 2nd in my books but nothing comes remotely close to

That was one of the nastiest incidents I've seen in the last 12 months of US racing. Surprised they are showing the replay. Riders must be ok, but I can't imagine the same about the horse.
Jockey Luis Quinones suffered a broken ankle and possible fractured pelvis in the fall. No news on the horse Shared Silence although it looked very bad.
American racing is woeful.
Boring tracks, crap jockeys who can only ride one way and as for the 'form' - do me a favour...
