10 at 1.9. The class drop is obviously dodgy, but this field is very weak and should win even if it's only half the horse it was the last time it ran on turf at Churchill Downs.
10 at 5.0 to win at 1.6 to finish top 3. Impressive maiden special weights win at Keenland Park last time out and expect this to be fit and ready today.

1 at 1.8. Big class drop, but an innocent class drop IMO. Think this is cutting back to its ideal distance and could very easily be different class to this field.
7 at 15.5. Has run well in turf sprints at Hawthorne.

Backed 7 at 4.2. Positive barn change. Class drop.
Backed 8 at 24.0. Might have improved since barn change and might suit cutback in trip.

Could be what it was Cooee. More likely the track change, because althought the barn change was neagtive in terms of percentages, it was moving to a quality barn.

First-Claim Figs were good on the barn, so there shouldn't have been too many problems. Can never tell though. Sometimes horses move into a barn and simply find themselves in a different part of the pecking order, so even a good-quality barn won't always be able to keep the horse at the same confidence levels as before.
As you say, though, the track change is the most likely factor. The US tracks are much more standard than they are over here, but I still find the results much more consistent when the horse's last run was over the same track.

I completely agree with everything you've said. The first-claim figs are what make me think it's less likely to be the barn change, but as you say, you never know.
