so this is it, the one day a year when the US gets plenty of attention and it's and early start today, Keenland r1 is 3pm UK time! a few warm up races before the main event.. small lay of the 2 for me, gl all, hope it's a profitable one.

1-8-2 r1, a nice small start
Report RiskyBusiness October 31, 2015 3:24 PM GMT
r2 lay of 10, also back of 4 elsewhere. keeping stakes small, plenty of racing to come.

r3 keenland, first of the BC proper, lay of the 10 for me, undoubtedly capable of winning and therefore a worthy favourite but i can never resist taking on the shorties and i believe this race is more competitive than those odds suggest, gl..

yeah i was on number 9, but impressive win
Report RiskyBusiness October 31, 2015 4:34 PM GMT
r4, laying 1,2 and 12, spreading the liability. and going for a tote back of frankie w/p/s in this one
Report RiskyBusiness October 31, 2015 4:47 PM GMT
no-one else posting an opinion? this is worse than usual! must be the early start..
Report RiskyBusiness October 31, 2015 4:48 PM GMT
well my lays were good there, that's the main thing Grin

this is worse than usual!

World Cup rugby final on,,,,,would have expected Thebas here however
Report RiskyBusiness October 31, 2015 5:06 PM GMT
maybe, i didn't have most of the posters on here pegged as rugby fans but it is the final. one sided though and easy to watch that on tv and this online
Report RiskyBusiness October 31, 2015 5:07 PM GMT
maybe i will watch strictly come dancing later instead Grin
Report RiskyBusiness October 31, 2015 5:10 PM GMT
r5, can the 14 overcome that wide draw..? i am teeing up a big lay here..
Report RiskyBusiness October 31, 2015 5:12 PM GMT

Report RiskyBusiness October 31, 2015 5:42 PM GMT
ty, sorry to hear that but you'll get it back. the next race is the one with a lot of people's nap, legatissimo.. not sure if i can bring myself to lay it but i probably can(!), the liability will not be huge.. time for study..

Report RiskyBusiness October 31, 2015 5:45 PM GMT
the swim across the atlantic will have tired it out Grin
Report RiskyBusiness October 31, 2015 5:47 PM GMT
wrong about that one, that'll teach me to not concentrate on the task at hand..
Report RiskyBusiness October 31, 2015 5:50 PM GMT
i think ryan moore will be my lay, over the years the laying of faves has been good to me and 2.2 is too tempting..
Report RiskyBusiness October 31, 2015 5:57 PM GMT
shorter on the daq than here and that is unusual, must be a lot of ladbrokes money being pumped into it
Report RiskyBusiness October 31, 2015 5:59 PM GMT
probably means it wins, a long time ago a wise man once said to me that if you can lay at shorter odds than the bookies, you are onto a good thing
Report RiskyBusiness October 31, 2015 6:09 PM GMT
not seen that before, shorter on the daq than here for such large sums of money, arbitrage opportunity, bots must be not keeping up, there is obviously a a lot of late money coming but the rugby WC has finished..
Report RiskyBusiness October 31, 2015 6:10 PM GMT

OK  any USA experts out there, who to bet against  Golden Horn,  am laying GH  anyway  due to rain and price, but like to know what horse might have a go.

Golden Horn free money?????????????
Report Thebas October 31, 2015 8:57 PM GMT
very short .. Arc winner and all .. but be aware though the US form cards don't show it .. he has won on rain affected ground

not for me at the price .. just watching what will hopefully be an interesting race to see how the UK/Euros perform in the US

at least its turf what they are used to .. the dirt a different kettle of fish naturally
Report wisewords October 31, 2015 8:59 PM GMT

FOUND WINS
Report Thebas October 31, 2015 9:06 PM GMT
terrific effort the frist 2 ... golden horn a ripper run hadn't raced for month .. while the other UK horse (well done Aiden O'Brien) Found had a run after the Arc where Golden Horn towelled it

the UK form too strong there for the local US grass runners ... which included 3 x G1 winners (and thre 3rd pacer) ... but the rest were mainly G2 or G3 types

the leader made that a very interesting race .. the first 6f well above honest but by the time the mile mark was reached they had done it in only 1:39+change .. so the rest were rated well by the jocks .. and no excuses on the line
Report Thebas October 31, 2015 9:13 PM GMT
half an hour to go to the BC Classic .. G1 dirt this time

over one million (dollars) matched already .. with around 800,000 on American Pharaoh lol

not at the price again me lol ... but should be a terrific race if they all perform to expectations
Report RiskyBusiness October 31, 2015 9:16 PM GMT
yes trying to decide where to place my stakes..
Report RiskyBusiness October 31, 2015 9:21 PM GMT
the 5 is surely the biggest lay ever?
Report Thebas October 31, 2015 9:21 PM GMT
it is a dilemma Risky for sure .. where caution must be paramount

aiden has brought over Gleneagles ... a wonderful horse in its own right .. but dirt the first time and aiden has scrathed it at home before due to wet tracks

I looked for a soft-NON G1 horse as the lay .. but they all have G1 form lol

i'll be watching for the pleasure .. and good fortunes to all having a try .. whether on the champ OR against it Happy
Report RiskyBusiness October 31, 2015 9:22 PM GMT
or the 9..
Report RiskyBusiness October 31, 2015 9:27 PM GMT
in my mind.. the 5 will be a short price because of british money, the 9 short from all sorts of money, so either are a a
lay.. or both.. dilemna!!??
Report Thebas October 31, 2015 9:27 PM GMT
the #9 a whitney winner Risky (though has only actually won on the wet in its maiden win I guess)

the #5 I would say also is the potential lay from what you've posted .. I can't lay at $10 though lol .. just me so I'm not suggesting it can it win today at all .. an interesting runner though best known as a miler though I reckon

9.35 Keen Ice e/w in a tight race gl
Report Thebas October 31, 2015 9:30 PM GMT
has to be a great chance you would think V

had a nice set of lead up works at Churchill Downs . and has lnocked off the champ before in the Travers

AP did some amazing pre-works at Santa Anita where its last top blazed over 4f in 46+3
(SA is downhill there on the sprint circuit so the times are always flattering ... but wow)
Report RiskyBusiness October 31, 2015 9:30 PM GMT
ok, decided, lay the 9, gl
Report ardgirl October 31, 2015 9:31 PM GMT
3 to place...
Report RiskyBusiness October 31, 2015 9:48 PM GMT
i've laid the 5 too, might regret the double lay but in the end i had to do them both, gl
Report Thebas October 31, 2015 9:49 PM GMT
if the champ brings his A game he just wins of course

won the Preakness on the sloppy by 7 lens lol

however different track .. different conditions .. different opposition

if not for the (surprise) 3/4 len loss in the Travers .. AP would be $1.30 I guess

spare a thought for Espinoza going into this ... hope the jock has solid nerves lol

should be a fascinating race ... can't back .. can't lay .. but that's just me will enjoy it for what it it ..
