The only ridiculous thing around here is the one poster trying to pretend gross mismanagement of markets is not taking place and has now stooped to personal attacks of longtime players on the site over the matter.
By the way-Mr Wrongasawayoflife-at least a dozen players all of whom have been 10yrs or longer have posted complaints.
Personal attacks now?The only ridiculous thing around here is the one poster trying to pretend gross mismanagement of markets is not taking place and has now stooped to personal attacks of longtime players on the site over the matter.By the way-Mr Wr
I'm sure there is a reason your posts read as if you are employed by the exchange.
But the fact of the matter is you posted at least three gross errors that any employee of the exchange would know were false.
Believing you are employed by the exchange means believing they hired someone with 10,000 posts, that has been here for ten years, that doesn't even know the business.
I already posted, I have no idea why you feel an obligation to both respond and defend the worst mismanagement in the history of the site nor care.
There is nothing you can post that is going to bring a halt to my pointing out how they did it right for 15yrs and are now struggling with the basics.
Unless you are being paid to respond, it is pointless.
I don't post lies like you do.I'm sure there is a reason your posts read as if you are employed by the exchange. But the fact of the matter is you posted at least three gross errors that any employee of the exchange would know were false.Believing you

your assumptions ...re me ... are 100% incorrect NewGuy
and that is your main problem as I see it
incorrect assumptions
if you are completely incorrect regarding me then MAYBE your assumption about the market management being hopeless & unstructured .... is also incorrect
firstly this forum ... i believe ... is moderated by a company that is NOT betfair & if that is the case then your continual moaning and groaning is falling on the deafest of ears
someone some six weeks ago posted a reply from BF helpdesk where they had mentioned what you & razor ... and I ... acknowledge is a change in the closing times of some races (NOT ALL) ... and that reply at the time i think went something like ...
"BF: we see no reason to change the way the US markets are currently being managed"
now you appear bright enough NG (less emotional than Razor who i quite like by the way) and from that purported BF reply ... if it was genuine ... tells us that the markets are being handled exactly the way the hierarchy want
if so ... then your assumption that it is ... mismanagement ... might be another wrong assumption
and if that is the case then ... like many other punters including myself .. it has been imperative for such punter to modify their actions within the environment we are all stuck with
(unlike Razor who has threatened to take all his business somewhere else - of course i would not be so churlish as to suggest that ... 'somewhere else" ... was HIS EMPLOYER ... rather than just his preference of environment)
so ... IMHO ... whether either of us are right or wrong ... it matters little as we attempt to get set on a race where we have put some time & effort into assessing the play in the hope of turning a profit over a period of time
so until tomorrow .. (and the next ongoing winge i guess) ... i bid you farewell NG and good fortunes as you open up your formguide to try and make a mark on the new races yet to come
I'm sure there is a reason your posts read as if you are employed by the exchange.your assumptions ...re me ... are 100% incorrect NewGuyand that is your main problem as I see itincorrect assumptionsif you are completely incorrect regarding me then M

Right but why should people not be told about this change and left in the dark. Make it consistent, say every race is going to be closed 1 minute before post time, because we are an inferior site not capable of getting a feed to suspend at the off the way it has been done in the past. Yes a poster made a comment about BF response, but that is a poster who prob took a lot of time out of his day to finally get thst response. And only those who happened to look at that post, could see what they wrote. The problem is they do not suspend the races at all consistent to argue against that is just simply sad. One time you bet as the first horse loads its open the next its not. The one you miss wins, the one you get losses. Regardless of outcome its not a tradable market if its like that. I say either do it right or don't do it at all. Having to bet 5 minutes before to ensure a bet is madness and that is what you are arguing. If you actually look at the markets the times the biggest bets come in are last sec if it is ever open anymore. That's when the money starts to talk. 5 minutes before is not when people who want to win make bets. The ones complaining I bet are the top players for betting. The ones staying quiet lose anyway they don't care they just lose. Just like if they raised the commission 10% losers keep playing, winners complain. So u suggest we all become losers. We don't want that. And if BF wants to make that notion, tell its customers. But seems to me talking on this forum is like talking to a rock so im honestly not gonna do it. Il send my complaints to the commission that handles BF and see there response.

I agree 100% Razor
this Forum moderation I believe is outsourced to another company who just monitor it for offenses and such
please write to BF Helpdesk again and be patient & respectful in your writing with them
I would be interested in their answer but I have moved my betting model to adjust with the current situation
I suggest others move on also and punt sensibly until this is either resolved or we know we are stuck with what we have

ffsif anyone needs to see henry's thread amongst their betting activities please go to the Australian forum(where I believe it was also removed at some point - henry misses quite a few indications I guess ) here is his threadhttp://community.betfair
Thought of you (Thebas) (and Kami for some reason) looking at the the strapper of the number 2 in Belmont race 8 ....slim.. blonde...tight jeans and neat backside...camera man on her for ages fixing a strap or 2
Damn good thread imo..lolThought of you (Thebas) (and Kami for some reason) looking at the the strapper of the number 2 in Belmont race 8 ....slim.. blonde...tight jeans and neat backside...camera man on her for ages fixing a strap or 2
I would have been watching her .. but I'd packed up for the day by then
kami would be thinking that I was watching her ... so you both would have been correct lol
but please .. punting is the focus here and a few lads have taken some time to adjust to a new situation on the US with inconsistent market closing times
once I realised it was going to be commonplace (the closing times) I watched the bots for a few days ... and worked out where I could do my business
(I am not a big plunger - or trader - like these guys so my needs are well satisfied - I get on when I need to and get a high end price thx to the bot movements - but noit necessarily always the "best" price" - tho the price is always higher than my assessment of the horse & the race it is in - those that don't have a 'price' for their horse will never know whether they have value or not and/or even WHEN to place their bet)
tricky game punting for sure ... the 'mob' is against you .. but fun still

First two races at Belmont were graded stakes races,
one had 2000, the other 4000 matched-
update those models!
Most inept, incompetent mismanagement ever, just left BEL R10 open for 15minutes after it was over- because pushing the button on the off is just so incredibly difficult of a task.

you are starting to scare me NewGuy seriously the first two races at Belmont please have another look at what type of races they were .. in the USA(and maybe consider stopping trading for a while - you are not on the same page sorry )
I guess NewGuy didn't check those Belmont races (before ... or after the race)

nice slag on me re the "update those models" .. I am figuring out the type of guy you are now NG

NewGuy clearly hasn't updated/modified/adjusted/replanned or anything else with his betting behaviour ... just continues to moan on an on for goodness sake
NewGuy
in case you lost your formguide
I realise that in the UK the Hunt season (when the flatters are on hols) is a big thing
but in the USA (as has been the case in Oz for the past 5 years)
the HURDLERS are a "novelty"
you can call them Trials/Novices or Grade Ones .. but the fact remains HURDLE races are a novelty
to base your ongoing tirade of limited liquidity on the basis of two JUMPS races is ludicrous in my eyes
if you do not know what the type of races you are attempting to TRADE in .. then you should stay out for a while
imo ... all hurdle races in the USA will continue to attract limited bets from punters
(you should complain instead about the other traders ... who are letting you down by also not investing in such races)
