chris from what the others have been saying .. as I listen to it .. is that about 3 months ago BF handed over the US market management to a group of traders ... that is what they say

if that is the case then traders on the US are now battling the market managers for the tenths of a point of odds where the punter (like me) is happy to forgo this miniscule part of the dividend if the price we get is above the price we assess the horse at

that is the difference

so the market managers probably have their bots set up to close the market when they are sufficiently green/green like the traders used to be

the punter just bets earlier if they get the right odds about their horse (the traders don't know what the right odds are as they are just trying to buy ay one price and sell at another - they don't have a vlue price for a horse in mind)

Pmbets comes along on a raceday thread and tells everybody he has inside info on a long-odds on shots (1/5 in the market) and that it will win

I assume now he wants to encourage betting on that horse and to try and take advantage in a trade later on .. I assume this because on a nother thread he tells us he has bet millions of pounds in to the markets (a sum only a trader would bet to extract 0.01 of an odds)

so don't fall fall for it Chris

if you are a punter and see value back it earlier before the traders shut down the market

if the price is below value the DON'T BET INTO THAT RACE .. and encourage the traders to offer better value maybe

this is all a game of who gets what from whom .. nothing to do with the horses or horse racing at all imo

and the players have established themselves quite clearly

Thebas you are talking utter rubbish and your remarks are offensive.I was very close to reporting you.Ask Betfair if I backed
the horse I tipped and the answer is 100% yes win or lose.I have NEVER layed the horses I tip to win.
I will now monitor your comments and will report you next time .Be warned!

Pmbets ... did you have inside info on the horse or horses as you stated that day on the thread we were both on

... or was it just a lead in bit of chit chat to say hello

by my understanding if you are paying the PC you are more than likely trading and not just horse betting

if you are just horse betting and paying the PC then yes you must try to get your bets on somewhere else

I have come over to the US betting as in oz the commission rake went up from 5 % to 6½ % and now 8 % on a major racing area

at 8% I started looking elsewhere so at 45% to 65% I'm not sure why you are here .. or how by letting the horses stand in the stalls longer is an advantage to your method

it appears the plan is to reduce or move the number of traders away from the US market

why this is so is still open to conjecture

as a punter .. I can live with the 5% and make my moves/bets in the 2 to 5 min range before post time (and therefore early suspension doesn't really affect my betting)

each to his own
