when it went to court .. from what I read of the BF legal submission through their counsel .. they failed to differentiate what turnover meant to a bookmaker and what it meant to BF in terms of ultimate profits
as such the high court judge another goose just lumped BF in with the corporates ... and voila we now have an 8% commission rate on 3 states in Oz
imo stick with Bendigo and other such Victorian based meetings which are now 6%

yeah NSW will never give up on that now, even if it would work out better to take a % of profit, I had hope WA might have seen the light like SA did and revert to the other model.

they all might in time Keef again ... depends on the pressure for parity and if NSW fall behind on their takeout from a year or so ago they might relent ... but PeterV running the show there has a massive ego and would hate to say that he backed down even if was the best for their racing pie ultimately
