Ridiculous, last two Belmont races heavily backed horses were bad actors in and around the gate and the exchange is closed.:(

I wonder if Betfair could do something to help us here.
The vast majority of races are suspended correctly, not a problem with those. For the races where they have no feed, and have to "guess" the off time, they always seem to err on the side of caution. Perhaps, for these type of races, they could introduce some sort of message at the top of the screen, or a pop-up type thing, saying "This race will be closed in 30 seconds" or something similar, to give everyone the chance to place any last-minute bets they want. |

The vast majority are closed early, there are a few closed correctly but they are just guesses that happened to look like it was at the off, because a horse did not act up.. Sorry to sound negative but its true, I watch a lot of races here.

I am absolutely certain that I was robbed by a lay bet that was never taken until the race was halfway round at least so we do have to understand that BF need to cover their backsides against someone having a time advantage somehow. If they close late they get criticised and if they close early they get criticised,try to see it from both sides.

same here BSmith .. the occasional maybe of course ...
some guys here are waiting till the last seconds of betting ... assuming that after 3 months somehow the markets will suspend right at the split second the horses leave the gates anyone observing will have adjusted their pattern in relation to the time of betting ... their is a window when the seeder/bots leave an opening .. I wont mention when that is again .. as the blind cannot see .. others are taking the good odds when they are presented others come on ... and mistakenly advise people ... "in bold" .. that a race was low liquidity & only held around $2k but that punter had not even looked at the form card .. where he would have noticed that the race was a race where NO punter would have even considered having a bet .. and would have been making a fresh pot of tea that race .. for those that did not look .. was SIX HORSE MAIDEN lol 5 of the runners had finished their last start at a minimum of 5 lengths behind the eventual winner .. the other was a first starter NO punter in their right mind would be thinking .. I better get my wager on here  so the punters aren't betting .. next race please them ... the traders are still sitting on their hands waiting for the magical dumb money to arrive so they can skim 0.01 of odds from the seeders ... the seeders cant attract anyone and shut the market early after 3 months if I was still driving to work .. and a bridge gate held me up for ten minutes .. while a ferry passed under the raised bridge .. then I would be looking for an alternative route the traders are still sitting at bridge complaining the ferry arrived again and held up their life the seeders don't care .. cause they have the toll from the ferry company and the punter who can observe a pattern of behaviour .. is happily on his way with another method you can complain about the ferry you can deride the seeder (bridge gate operator) and you can ignore the punter (observant driver) but the facts are still the facts like BSmith & I ... you can get a bet on and at reasonable odds (assuming you don't want to have a grand on at a time) life is still good  |

well done Razor .. its a tuff gig the old punt .. but there is a quid to be made for sure
just not every race now .. as i guess it once was I pick & choose .. and look for some value ... the seeders throw out some silly odds in the 8/1 to 10/1 range they are trying to pick up a "bot jumper" sneaking the price out out further than they have offered and taken .. you guys can get on before it comes back in and trade out but as always .. tread carefully and no responsibility taken (by me lol) |

Its funny how the guys closing these races early or guys don't come out and talk, just hide and do it. Criminals. Management and workers all should go to jail.
