Yesterday there was a 7 runner race with a 1.9 favourite and about 2.1 here on betfair and it was paid out 1.4 for show.
There was another race with 8 runners and the second favourite was 3.2 to win and for show it was paid 1.1.
Is this lottery?

Today i placed a 3000 dollar show bet on alice and trixie. It was a 5 runner race with 2 horses which were miles behind alice and trixie last time. I was paid out 1.5 to be in the first three. Unbelievable. If there was a betfair market 3 places in a 5 runner race 2/1 second favourite would be 1.2. Small fields with a good second favourite and you get unbelievably good odds for show.
