I did seem peculiar for a low grade horse to turn on the burners like that and the jock also had to steer him around about 4 horses

Yep Horses make long sustained runs often..no problems.. This one from what...30 lengths off lead to 6 lengths off lead with 200 m to go ..at which point it runs knackered ..jock rides hands and heals as no point to slaughter and then bam...a lactic acid in legs all gone and makes a second or third run like a Ferrari......all the jock could do was steer...like on a runaway car with no brakes... Nope ..lactic acid just doesnt disappear like that and so quickly after clearly a spent force.... Again why US racing most corrupt....any US resident hear anything in stewards report would be interested.....(in Australia ) |

Definitely..the giveaway is the jock...under the whip...up and down like a carousal.. whip away and reins only then the BAM....and again ...no jockey could just hold on and steer...
A must watch replay...especially to see where it settle ...6 lengths from second last....who was 5 lengths off third last..over 6 furlongs |
