Just to add insult to injury the helpline phone number they provided on the e mail is no longer in service.

So i phone up another number and they tell me there is a technical issue with settling the bet and hopefully it will be settled this morning.

This is getting ridiculous now.
Is there no one currently in the Betfair organisation who can sort this or are they waiting for the night shift to come back in again.
This is not difficult to fix.

Now received 2 identical e-mails, first at 01.02, the other at 10.41.
Do they not realise they have already sent the original e-mail.
Betfair get your act together and sort this out.
Pretty obvious: All bets up to the erroneous withdrawal stand, those after are void.

Just got back from the park with the family and surprise surprise Betfair are struggling with the basics of settling.

Betfair, if it is a technical issue can someone please override the system and settle the bets manually and give us our returns ASAP.

You have now sent me the exact same email 4 times now. Once was suffice. Further updates are required.

Please pass this onto a settler.

this has happened before & all bets were void as the wrong horse was taken out of the betting,so why havent they just voided all bets ?

Unfair on those who placed bets prior to the mistake.
Easy to identify those bets placed before the ****-up.
No way "void".

In the previous case, at what point was the withdrawn horse deleted - sometime before the race (and before most bets were made), or just before the off (when the market was formed).
I can see if an error was made early and people were betting unaware of the erroneous withdrawal, then reasonable to void.
But here the market was mature, and very easy to establish the cut-off point .
If they were going to void it, surely would have done it by now.
Waiting for a night supervisor to turn up to make the decision, as the underlings probably have no authority.

Finally settled at 18.13.What a bunch of total w*******. Manager and everybody involved should be sacked. Betfair are just lucky that they still have no competition. They still after all this time cannot monitor the markets, what a shambles.

i placed all my bets after they messed up but they haven't voided, they owe me £35 now
