I've just been thru 12 months of brain dead betting - balance up and down like a yo-yo. Ended up less than £100 up after 12 months. Couldn't think what I was doing wrong. Some weeks picked nothing but winners, then couldn't pick anything for weeks. Had a break and gone back to some basics, and hopefully have sorted things out.
I know what you mean Isaac. I took a break to just clear my head. All I was doing was reading DRF cards - even in my sleep - took over my life!!!!!!
Yeah, that was exactly it for me -

Couldn't see trainer/jockey combinations - nothing
Gave up coming on the forum when that Canadian guy was on. I think he drove a lot of people away. He was just so depressing.

No mate - gave that up. Gone back to building surveying. (gotta say not as exciting as the boozers)

Well I'm finished for tonight. Gone back to studying the cards before i start betting, instead of looking just before the races. Thinks that's were I was going wrong. Pick me horses between 5:00 and 6:30 and stick to it. Doing about 7 or 8 races a night. Seems to be working again.
I'll be on agian in the coming weeks.

I am struggling now not a great fan of drf its okay, but since brisnet gone its taken my edge with form

Hence pretty much given up and embarked last 3 months on Cheltenham study

Miss the US stuff but it took me 30 mins to go through 8 or 9 races at Penn with brisnet over the last few years it has taken me longer and with less success using other sources

Standard DRF cards pal. I used to subscribe to 3 or 6 months but I just buy cards as an when now. (don't study as much as I use to - it got to a stage where it was taking over my life)
