Does anyone really bet on this dross? Every time I tune in I see jockeys sitting motionless on horses, quite often the hot fav, lingering around the rear of the field and doing nothing until the race is over! It is without any doubt the most appalling racing in the world. The powers that be must be blind, deaf, in a pocket, or totally uninterested. Defend it if you will, but do not try to tell me that it is anything but a very poor excuse for a betting medium. It is totally baffling as to how it is allowed to continue.

The quality of the racing might not be that great, but the form is in-depth.  Effective speed figures, sectional times, and all manner of interesting stats..  If you treat it as a mildly intellectual exercise (a bit like doing a crossword!), the US stuff is rather fascinating!

These "motionless jockeys" that you're talking about only appear that way because they are well-balanced unlike your pommy riders who flail about like drunken sailors. American jockeys can ride the daylights out of the English, Irish and European riders.

Give me yank racing any day.

So why didnt Gary Stevens clean up then when he was riding as stable jockey to Sir M Stoute,he got beaten in too many close finishes, and often lost races going to the start because he couldnt hold them, Chris Mccarron another useless US jockey that couldnt ride our tracks I suppose you class R Moore and F Dettori as drunken sailors is that why Ryan Moore goes over there every Breeders Cup and shows them how to ride.

US racing is so uncompetitive apart from the big meetings, watch it any night of the week and you will see 6/7 runner races were they finish strung out like a 3 mile chase, and timing thats a complete nonsense as most US jockeys havent got a clue, many either go to fast or give their mounts far too much too do,and the reason they sit still is that most of them cant use a whip properly without fear of falling off.

You PittsburghPhil should FO back to Ozz ,because you are clueless.imo

Who is that bag of wheat that Aiden O'Brien always brings to America to ride his dud horses? J P Spencer or something. Worst fkkn jockey I have every seen in my life. As for your tracks ... they are fkkn cow paddocks. And all your races are ****.

Who in their right mind would bet on English or Irish racing?

The English or the Irish, I suppose.

Enough said.
