towf - as u know it's all about discipline.  Sometimes we can all get carried away.  Nothing worse when you are betting / trading on something that u normally wouldn't due to the dredded word "Chasing"

To be fair was thinking of giving up my job as I work long hours for not alot imo. Had discussed this with my wife and she agreed that I make more betting than working.Its a big change factor for a person who is used to working long hours and probably was trying to prove something which is not true and got carried away.Truth.

I.e Each individual event as a race can only be taken apart by horse by horse.As I have worked with them all my life I for sure know what to look for.Whereas that is true for most tracks its not true for penn. Trust me on this as there are things going on there that I cannot say on here for sure.Best of luck all.

towf - think long and hard before you make a choice, it is not as easy to make a living on here as people make out, the way you have played these last few days has been very erratic, not your usual style at all, a few days away from the computer might do you good.

Clear your head and put things into perspective, make a budget of how much you would need to replace the income you would be giving up, its one thing playing for fun to provide a few extra's, but it is a high pressure game if you are dependent on it for paying bills and putting food on the table.

From your previous it is apparent that you are a decent judge, but to be successful full time continuously on here you have to have iron willed discipline and a tough enough mentality to avoid going on tilt irrespective of what goes wrong, because however good you are you will get those days when things go wrong.

Had a great last 3 months myself but had a nightmare on Thursday, with play after play going wrong, but didn't chase, kept focused and recovered with 3 successful plays at the end of the night, earned next to nothing for 5 hours work but discipline remained intact and that was the important factor.

You said you had already discussed it with your wife, which is good, make sure you fully explain to her what the worst scenario could be if things go awry, if you are upfront before you start it helps you concentrate your mind on the job in hand, gl

Someone obligingly laid the 1.75 for 3k

THe last 3 races at Charles someone has been batting at the wrong odds.
