place bet on race 10 belmont

bet the winner of this race in the place market and the matched bet showed in my history, the bet was not settled and on ringing betfair they informed me that the bet was matched after the off! as we all know american racing is suspended so how can this happen. it also raises the question when is a matched bet ever really matched? think this is an absolute disgrace
