Here's a thought....

Betfair suspended the race about 6 seconds into the race.
The winner started off at the rear of the field.
Some sharpies laid the winner at whatever the lay price was  seeing the horses slow start.
The sharpies figured :
1) If the horse loses I win !!!
2) If the horse wins I'll scream at Betfair that my bet was matched after the off.

Betfair have no option but to reverse all wagers back to the off. i.e. plus one for the cheaters.

Solution: Betfair should reverse only the wagers of those who won after placing their bets after the off. In this case the sharpies trying to take advantage of the situation would lose if the horse wins or their wagers would be reversed if the horse did indeed lose.

This would immediately stop everyone from attempting to take advantage of a situation that they should never be taking advantage of.....

Betfair can see those who wager after the off and those bets made before the off. Seems like a simple solution here.

Thoughts anyone ?
