Penn race 3 the 5 horse sets an excellent standard for these horses to run at
However these newcomers have good riders on and respectable trainers
Am not sure if the fav is slightly regressing race on race but do consider 1/3 in the place market to be v gd odds if you can get any cash on for significant amounts.
Usually the newcomers either show blinding speed and fade or hold on or miss the break and run on too late
If its the former enough pace her for the fav to sit behind and pick a few of these off. If its the later we still have the 7 horse natural pace to toe him along

Penn R4 Looks a fairly average bunch and I wouldn't be rushing to back any of those at the front of the market, the 1 has had plenty of chances and hasn't shown enough to warrant me parting with my money, the 12 ran well last time but it didn't look that greater race to me, the7 has looked more at home over a mile and the 10 has flattered to deceive on numerous occasions, its last run was particularly bad.
This leaves me with the 9 who has shown steady progression and is more of my kind of price played w & p

9 for me at Penn is a massive price win and place

Penn R5 The 1 has every chance of making it 5 favs in a row, could be taken on by the 8 who could be headstrong given it hasn't run for a couple of months, if so that looks the best chance of getting the 1 beat so that its running on empty close home, its a big if though.
For my money I'd rather look to nab a place and fluke a win if lucky, have therefore backed 3,6 & 7

Penn R6 Wish I could show you my notesheet for this race isolated 9 & 4, however discounted the 9 on its course record and 4 tonight based on the way the track is running think it will leave its effort too late, hope I'm wrong for your sake, no bet race for me.
Change of tactics worked well on it tonight, wondered what the jock was doing when he had it on the lead, but there didn't appear to be as much pace as I had anticipated when going through the race, wd again

Granted that 9 was game, was unlikely to lead and was beaten everywhere bar the line so you need luck mate.

Gov, think you're right when you say luck is required, but I think you also have to put the work in on the cards methodically to earn yourself the chance of that luck.
Over the years I've seen so many people come and go because they were looking for a quick win which they base on the price of a horse, rather than a steady income from wagers that have a better than even chance of collecting, then again wouldn't work if we all approached it the same way...!

of all known form here #9 has by far the best and this is a donkey fest so im willing to give it another chance at around 6/4+, if it doesnt win this it will never break maiden. GL

Agree cork hard work is the key and the avoidance of sloppy ground and never ever get put off by big odds
As for the next race agree with dhoni 6/4 is too big on the 9 horse its better than these not great but better would expect it to be evs so a bet

Gracie, I have this as a no bet race, mainly as there is no known pace, something will undoubtedly go on but at what pace you have to ask yourself, throw in the 2 newcomers and you have a race of too many ifs and buts for me.
The 5 could make the running given its best runs were over 5f but looks more a place than a win proposition to me,gl

Who knows Dhoni didnt check its time out but a few weeks ago a mile race was run in 1m 45 on a fast surface my mother has got to the shops quicker than that by foot

I found it hard to get away from the 1, looks like 2/7/8 could contest the lead/ duel for it would be better, the 1 should be able to sit and wait and then pounce in the straight

quite like the look of the 7 in the next least exposed in the race and may get the run of it behind the pace
Penn R9 Based on what we have seen tonight you can't afford to be to far off the pace, problem with the pace in this is that the 2/4/8 have all had plenty of chances, 2 was poor last time and 4 & 8 both seem to prefer to place. Flight has highlighted the 7 and it must have a fair chance, first run was encouraging, next run was at Aqueduct so can be excused, and ran ok last time even though it was a neck behind the 4 as the 4 had already had a run.

As I type the 2 has been scratched bad times but am on at gd prices so hopefully the reduction will hurt but will put me in line with where the market is currently for my bet.
