There were only two finishers that we saw on the ATR feed. They sitched to chariot racing straight after the race finished of course. Can only assume 4 was remounted. If it was the grey that fell independently just before the line it got up,looked alright and was standing more or less still when the feed went off.

@ 26051999 - NOT FOR WINSTON was not placed

@ salmon spray - American racing rules stipulate that a runner MUST CARRY THE JOCKEY'S WEIGHT AT ALL TIMES, so there's no such thing as "remounting"

I have no idea how the market was settled on here, but if indeed you laid the said runner and lost your stake, I would call Betfair and take issue with it. The runner was not part of the official mutual payoffs so I can't imagine how Betfair can rationalize considering him placed. Only the first two runners were declared to officially have completed the race, the rest were DNFs. NOT FOR WINSTON took a bad step and fell just BEFORE the finish line, threw the rider, and although the runner got up he actually NEVER crossed the finish line with, or without the jockey. Hardly the stuff that earns a runner a place finish.....FINISH being the key word here. The monies wagered in the show pool at the track was distributed to the first two finishers.
